Defending champions Colorado Christian (DII), Methodist (DIII), Dalton State (NAIA) top coaches polls, while Odessa and Mississippi Gulf Coast (pictured above) earn the most votes in NJCAA DI and DII respectively.
After winning the first national championship in their athletic department’s history, Colorado Christian is No. 1 in the 2024-25 Pre-season Bushnell/Golfweek DII Coaches Poll. The Cougars received nine first-place votes and 430 points, six more than North Georgia (seven first-place votes and 424 points).
Oklahoma Christian (one first-place vote), West Florida, and Georgia Southwestern (one first-place vote) rounded out the top five, with Lincoln Memorial, Grand Valley State, Florida Southern (one first-place vote), Nova Southeastern, and Central Oklahoma completing the top 10.
Methodist, which won the the NCAA Division III Men’s National Championship for the 14th time in May, is No. 1 in the DIII Poll. The Monarchs received six first-place votes and 264 points, five more than Carnegie Mellon (three first-place votes and 259 points).
Behind them in the top 10 are Emory, Oglethorpe (two first-place votes), and Illinois Wesleyan, Huntingdon, Washington & Lee, Lynchburg, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, and Redlands.
Dalton State is No. 1 in the NAIA Poll after claiming the program’s second national championship in May. The Roadrunners received all 10 first-place votes and 250 points.
Keiser, Texas Wesleyan, British Columbia, and Lindsey Wilson complete the top five, with Columbia (MO), Houston-Victoria, MidAmerica Nazarene, Wayland Baptist, and OUAZ in the slots below.
After placing second at the national championship and winning six tournaments last season, Odessa is No. 1 in the NJCAA DI Poll. The Wranglers received one first-place vote and 55 points, nine more than Midland (46 points).
Defending national champion New Mexico JC (three first-place votes), Indian Hills, and Hutchinson are also in the top five, with McLennan, Central Alabama, Ranger, Western Texas, Dodge City, Eastern Florida State, and NMMI below them.
In NJCAA DII, Mississippi Gulf Coast comes out on top with three first-place votes and 39 points. The Bulldogs won their last 13 tournaments last season, including a second national championship.
Kirkwood is in second place (one first-place vote and 37 points) with South Mountain, Roane State, and Des Moines Area, Parkland, Meridian, Murray State (OK), East Central, and Iowa Central occupying the other spaces in the top 10.
