On 15-16 September, 16 leading DI women's teams line up at Chambers Bay for the Leadership and Golf Invitational, which will include featured hole live stream by Babygrande Golf.
In the field at the epic 'links'-style course on Puget Sound, southwest of Tacoma, are 12 top-100 teams in the season-end 2024/25 rankings. Among these sides are the women's team from San Jose State, which finished last season at #45, and Lousiana Monroe, which opened the season with an impressive win at the Jawhawk Invitational.
Joining these schools and tournament hosts Seattle, are teams from California State, Long Beach, Eastern Michigan, San Diego State, Hawaii, University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Grand Canyon, San Francisco, Colorado, UC Davis, Seattle, Washington, Oregon State, CSU Fresno, and California Polytechnic State.
The Robert Trent Jones-designed Chambers Bay hosted the U.S. Amateur in 2010 and the 2015 U.S. Open, which was won by Jordan Spieth. Last year, Southern California triumphed at Chambers Bay, with Catherine Park firing a closing a 4-under-par 68 to share medalist honors with Riana Mission of the University of San Francisco.
Leadership and Golf's aims are to raise funds for charitable organizations, foster connections between leaders and student-athletes propelling their career development and leadership, and most important to promote social responsibility leaders across generations.
This year at Chambers Bay, Leadership and Golf will be raising money for Oakland Genesis, helping youth graduate from high school with the skills and confidence needed to navigate college and embark on successful careers.
