A round up of standout team and individual performances in the week September 26-October 2.
Last year's was statistically the toughest DI stroke play tournament of the regular season according to its Strength of Field (1.60). The 2025 edition was no different, producing four co-champion teams –, which tied on 10 over par – and five co-medalists – Albert Hansson (Georgia Tech), Ben James (Virginia), William Jennings (Alabama), Willy Walsh (Pepperdine) and Christiaan Maas (Texas).
James, playing in the second to last group, held a two-stroke lead when he teed off on the 54th hole but closed with a double-bogey to make the playoff possible. (above), the 2025 ACC Freshman of the Year, emerged victorious to earn his first collegiate win and an exemption into the PGA Tour event at Colonial.
At , hosts ran away from the field in both the men's and women's tournaments. won his second tournament on home turf as the Razorback men cruised to a 17-shot victory with four players finishing inside the top-five.
In the women's tournament, the home side won by 36 shots with two individuals lapping the field. finished runner-up after shooting an eight-under-par 64 in the final round, a score that broke both Blessings GC women’s course record and the tournament record.
The Colombian was beaten to the medalist honors by (above) who took her third collegiate title with a tournament record 202 (-14), which is also the third best 54-hole score in program history.
At the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational, men (below) took the clean sweep, setting and equalling a number of records in the process.
(main image), the senior from Germany, tied for the third lowest 54-hole score to par in NCAA history, sealing an eight-shot win with a 22-under-par total of 194. Schmidt opened with a 64 (-8) to tie the program 18-hole scoring record, added a second-round 63 to set a new 18- and 36-hole record, and closed with a 67.
Schmidt's lights out display helped the Red Wolves to a one-stroke victory over hosts Colorado with a 42-under par 822, which tied for the third-lowest 54-hole total in program history and the best for the squad in a tournament outside of Jonesboro. A-State's 822 is also the second-lowest 54-hole total in Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational history behind the 46-under par 818 posted by Boise State in 2021.
At the same tournament, of shot a first-round 64 that tied the single-round record, helping the Salukis to set new 18-, 36-, and 54-hole program records on 269, 554, and 836 respectively.
led by Steen Zeman (above), also got in on the act, setting new program records for 18-hole score (268/-20) in the second round, 36-hole scoring (-32) and 54-hole score to par (-40).
claimed the inaugural Bryan Bros Collegiate on 35 under par while in the individual event, (above) earned medalist honors with 16-under-par 197, which tied Duke’s 54-hole scoring record.
At another new tournament, the Jim DeLapa Collegiate at Point O'Woods Country Club, Michigan sophomore claimed his maiden collegiate title and broke the program 54-hole scoring record with 196 (-14), passing U-M great Kyle Mueller’s 198.
Hosts successfully defended home soil at the Diane Thomason Invitational while (above) entered the record books with her individual win.
Greeny shot a course record 64 (-8) in the first round, which was the second lowest score in program history, before earning her fourth collegiate victory with a 54-hole tournament record 211 (-5), bettering the mark set in 2015 by a single stroke. The senior is now second in all-time wins for the Bobcats.
continued their fine start to the season, breaking the team scoring record for the second time in as many weeks with 821 (-31) at the SIUE Dolenc Invitational and winning for a second week in a row, this time by 12 strokes over Morehead State.
Finally, kudos to men, who shot a final round 276 (-8) to set a new program 18-hole record at the same tournament; (above), who recorded a program record 856 (-8) to capture the team title at the SeattleU Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational; and who was individual medalist at the Bayou City Collegiate.
Doggett (above) set tournament records for the the lowest 54-hole score to par (-15), lowest 54-hole score (201) and largest margin of victory (seven shots).
