A round-up of the NJCAA DI men's award winners from the 2024/25 season. Congratulations to all those listed below on a fine season.


Jack Nicklaus Award presented by Workday

Adam Bresnu (Odessa)

Ranked No. 1 via Scoreboard powered by Clippd since at least October 16, Adam Bresnu (above) finished inside the top nine in all 14 tournaments for the Wranglers, including five victories and five runner-ups. The sophomore from Rabat, Morocco, won the season’s first three tournaments, including the Don York Memorial and Folds of Honor Challenge by a combined 15 strokes, and secured runner-up finishes in the season’s last three tournaments, including the NJCAA Division I National Championship. Bresnu is Odessa’s second Nicklaus Award recipient, joining Abraham Ancer in 2010.

Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman Award presented by StrackaLine

Scott Spark (Midland)

A First-Team PING All-American, Scott Spark is from Oldmeldrum, Scotland, and ranked No. 3 in NJCAA Division I after recording eight top-10 (five top-three) finishes and winning the South Central District Championship by three strokes. Spark entered the 2025 NJCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championship with nine rounds in the 60s and a season scoring average of 71.3 over 40 rounds.

Adam Bresnu (Odessa)

Also the 2025 Jack Nicklaus Award presented by Workday recipient for NJCAA, Bresnu won five times and recorded five runner-up finishes. The sophomore from Rabat, Morocco, was runner-up in the season’s last three tournaments, including the NJCAA Division I National Championship. He was the only NJCAA Division I golfer with a 2024-25 scoring average below 70 (69.525) and carded 18 rounds in the 60s.Dave Williams National

Dave Williams Coach of the Year Award presented by Golf Pride Grips

Walt Williams (Midland)

Ranked No.1 via Scoreboard powered by Clippd since at least October 16, Walt Williams guided Midland to five team victories, six runner-ups, and three other top-three finishes in his eighth season in Midland. Their wins included the program’s fifth national championship, the NJCAA Region 5 Championship, and the TankLogix & Tall City Exploration Collegiate. 

The Chaparrals competed in three tournaments each hosted by NCAA Division I and NCAA Division II programs and were led on the course by PING All-Americans Harrison Sewell, Scott Spark, and Bryce Womack. Williams was the NJCAA Division I Dave Williams National Coach of the Year in 2019, 2020, and 2022.
